Making this switch could prove to be the best move you’ve ever made. The roles, the location, the rewards and the prospects – it all adds up to a unique and exciting opportunity, with the genuine potential to progress in the country’s leading closed fund operator.
As an organisation that’s continually transforming itself and fully focused on being ‘best in class’, you’ll find that life at Phoenix is one of constant change and transition. With the transfer of all operations to a single site, our recent move to shareholder status and the impending arrival of Solvency II, one thing’s for certain - the challenges will come thick and fast.
At the heart of it all sits our Actuarial team – a dedicated unit, comprising over 100 like minded professionals, whose activities underpin a growing workload, where new developments and projects are commonplace eg fund mergers, system transformation, process redesign etc. It’s an environment that can offer the type of experience and scope of work you can’t get anywhere else.
Typical activities will focus on the completion of regulatory financial reports, the valuation of liabilities both for regulatory reports and company analysis, as well as bonus assessments and asset liability and capital modelling. Much of this will be based on actuarial modelling and financial projections, utilizing sophisticated systems such as Prophet and MoSes to run complex software – deterministic or stochastic models.
Whether you’re experienced, qualified or both, we can promise that you’ll feel right at home with us. We have a variety of openings across a range of fields –each offering the chance to apply your actuarial skills in a unique environment.
