The Role:

You will be joining the Review team within our Actuarial Reporting function, with responsibility for providing technical expertise in supporting the review of results on multiple bases from MG-ALFA, our cloud-based actuarial modelling platform.  The implementation of MG-ALFA has already enabled a high degree of harmonisation across our actuarial reporting processes, and we have now embedded a new suite of strategic reporting tools to enable even greater efficiencies in the analysis and understanding of our financial results.  On a day-to-day basis you will use your actuarial knowledge and experience to provide good quality analysis of results produced across multiple funds, ensuring completeness and accuracy and communicating them effectively to senior management.

You will also contribute by communicating effectively to ensure deliveries are met, maintaining strong relationships across the business and within the actuarial reporting team and contributing constructively to group discussions.

What we're looking for:

As a nearly or newly-qualified actuary with relevant and suitable Life industry experience, you will be able to:

  • demonstrate an excellent degree of analytical expertise and technical know-how;
  • evidence your knowledge of Life products, processes and reporting procedures;
  • be change orientated and commercially aware, with the ability to produce good quality reports and add tangible value to technical discussions;
  • work under pressure, to tight deadlines, and be able to prioritise work effectively; and
  • demonstrate the skills required to manage projects and people effectively.

Alongside this, you will possess strong time management and relationship building skills, with a particular emphasis on effectively communicating across a variety of stakeholders, ranging from senior management to new graduates.  In return, you’ll have the chance to make your mark in a rapidly-developing FTSE-listed company, able to offer excellent rewards and superb conditions in a great working environment.
