About the role

 

This role will assist the Solvency MI team within the wider Actuarial Reporting function in BAU activities as well as supporting the team with project work as required. We are looking for someone who is technically strong and is confident in analysing and communicating financial metrics relating to the Life Company solvency position.

 

When necessary you will also need to challenge the relevant functions and provide a more feasible solution that will deliver the desired output and not compromise the business.

 

The current team all work together really well and are a positive bunch, so we are looking for someone who can fit in to that. We want someone who has a good work ethic, is willing to support others and has a positive outlook!

 

What we’re looking for

 

Essential

 

  • Experience in a similar role working at a more senior level
  • Part qualified/ qualified Actuary
  • Confident communicating both verbally and written at all levels
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret a broad range of data
  • Strong IT skills and comfortable working on multiple systems

 

Desirable

 

  • Experience in Life Insurance or Pensions
  • Understanding of Solvency II / SCR dynamics
